South St. Louis Boy Recovering After Being Shot In Chest
SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR) - An eight-year-old boy is recovering this morning after he was accidentally shot Thursday night. The child was shot in the chest, around 8:00pm at his home on Arsenal Street near Tamm Avenue in South St. Louis. His mother's boyfriend was cleaning a gun, which police say accidentally went off. The shot ricocheted off a wall, hitting the boy in the chest.

Police didn't even wait for an ambulance, they rushed him straight to a hospital.

The boy is expected to survive.
