RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO ( KPLR )—
Another major milestone for the Interstate 64 reconstruction project. The Big Bend bridge over the new highway reopened Friday afternoon. For people who regularly use Big Bend between Richmond Heights and Clayton, this has been a major inconvenience. For businesses, it has also been a major hit to the bottom line. So reopening Big Bend should help bring traffic and customers back to this one busy road.A ribbon cutting took place at 10:30 a.m. and the road re-opened around 4:00pm. The re-opening is a week ahead of schedule.
And for those of you counting, only 17 days until highway 40 opens on December 7.
