Pocahantas IL ( KPLR ) - A family with seven children are getting a new home. It's all thanks to Habitat for Humanity.

This is a dream come true for the Haller family. The five bedroom, three bath house replaces a much smaller two bedroom home that Hallie and Stephanie Haller along with their seven kids were living in.

The couple applied for help with the Bond county, Illinois chapter of Habitat for Humanity. They were accepted and have helped build the home with Habitat. The family put in 400 hours of sweat equity to the home on Stewart street.

The home was built at the same location where the old home used to stand. The home is not free- the Haller's still have to pay a home loan but it's interest free. The costs to the Hallers kept down through habitat for Humanity donations of money, materials and labor. This is the fifth home that the Habitat chapter here in Bond county has built for families.
