Search For Mentally Ill Woman Goes On In West St. Louis County
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - It was a difficult Thanksgiving for the family of a missing west St. Louis County woman. She's been missing for eight days. Sherry Brown has lived with a mental illness most of her life. She was on her way home from a hospital last week - but never made it home.

"You just wouldn't think someone could disappear like that that somebody would have seen her," said Scott Brown, brother.

Maryland Heights police found her car in a culvert near the Red Roof Inn and Hooters near Page and Lackland.

The discovery came last Thursday, but still no sign of Sherry.

"Where she could have gone from where she had her vehicle accident is really perplexing and it's a real mystery," said Brown

Sherry lives at the Pavillion Apartments in Maryland Heights. Family members have posted her photo on Facebook hoping someone will know where she is.

The family searched the area near the culvert where her car was found, but so far there are no clues.

"We've checked videos of some establishments that were near that culvert and there was nothing on their surveillance tapes," said Brown

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact the St. Louis County Police at 889-2341.
