The recent bought of mild summer weather has been good for business at Six Flags St. Louis. That's key since the theme park counts on July and August for 55% of total revenues. And it's also counting on a number of specials to keep the crowds coming out to Six Flags into the fall.

Warm sunny days like today really give Six Flag's Hurricane Harbor something to splash about. Temperatures climbed into the mid 80's today-- but that's actually slightly below normal for this time of year. In fact, much of July has been mild and that's given the theme park something to dance about.

While they won't give exact numbers, park officials say this month business has been good.

And while the shaky economy has meant ups and downs for the tourism industry. Six Flags is somewhat befitting by those looking to save money by taking stay-cations this summer.

Six Flags says some newer attractions like the Evil Kneival roller coaster and the Wahoo Racer are also helping as well as as promotional pricing.

In its most recent quarterly report, which Six Flags released this spring, the park announced that its total revenue, attendance, and per-capita spending were all up in 2008.
