A Big turnout tonight for a St. Louis style Boston Tea Party. Hundreds filled Kiener plaza for a protest over taxes.

It's all about taxes -- with today being the deadlie for filing -- it was perfect timing for demonstrators to bring their message here. Plenty of creative signs all around. Some blaming President Obama and Congress -- others showing concern over how big the nation's debt has become. Many fear it will take generations to pay back the debt. Some upset over taxpayers picking up the tab for those who borrowed more money than they could afford and then became part of the foreclosure crisis. A big crowd listened to speakers who encouraged them to direct their frustrations to the polls during the next election cycle. Many of the taxpayers we spoke with say this is about putting pressure on elected leaders. They are using blogs and twitter to help spread their message.

And it turned into a large crowd with plenty of strong opinions. They say the size of the crowd is an indication how frustrated taxpayers are.

"I think there's no good way to go I think there's such a mess and I don't think we can say well let's just put it off, put it off put it off I think we're going to have to bite the bullet - everybody." Marianne Dineen Norton

Hundreds turned out on tax day protesting how much they're paying -- and hoping elected leaders are listening.
