State Transportation Secretary Gary Hannig said Friday that the department is doing all it can to keep roads open and delay free.
Hannig says he hopes "suspending construction and opening lanes this Thanksgiving holiday will increase the chances of motorists getting to their destinations safely."
Construction is to be suspended from 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, Nov. 29. Hannig also asked motorists to monitor weather reports before they set out on long drives.
