West Completes Illini Football Staff
University of Illinois head football coach Ron Zook announced today the hiring of Ron West as the final addition to the Illini staff, bringing with him 30 years of collegiate coaching experience. Zook also made two other announcements naming tight ends coach Greg Nord recruiting coordinator and adding the title of Assistant Head Coach to offensive line coach Joe Gilbert.

Illini's Thomas Scores Big as Saints Win Super Bowl XLIV
Former Illinois all-star running back Pierre Thomas scored a 16-yard touchdown on a pass from Drew Brees and accounted for 85 yards of total offense, leading the New Orleans Saints to a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.

Twenty Join The Illinois Football Family
Coach Ron Zook announced today the addition of 20 recruits to the Illinois football program. Three player enrolled at the beginning of the semester last month, and 17 more submitted National Letters of Intent today to complete the 2010 recruiting class.
